The Disability Inclusion Grant (DIGs) is now open for applications from local clubs, groups, community organisations and small business to promote social inclusion for people with disability through the removal of barriers to participation.
Funding Information
- Applications can be made for up to $20,000 in funding.
What can the grants be used for?
- Grants can be used to increase opportunities for people with disability to participate in mainstream community or social groups.
- They are interested in innovative, creative, and sustainable approaches to increasing the inclusion of people with disability.

Some examples of projects and activities include:
- Assistance to develop a Disability Action and Inclusion Plan.
- Targeted or general disability awareness training for volunteers, members or the public.
- Converting brochures and reports to accessible formats such as Easy English or Braille.
- Developing attitudinal awareness-raising resources.
- Purchase of assistive technologies such as hearing loops and height adjustable equipment.
- Physical modifications such as accessible bathroom upgrades or wheelchair ramp installations.
- wayfinding improvements such as Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSIs) and signage.
- Training staff in Auslan; or
- Installing automatic doors.
Eligibility Criteria
- Small businesses who employ fewer than 20 persons
- Incorporated not for profit organisations or community groups auspiced by an incorporated organisation can apply.
