The Australian Embassy in Brazil is seeking applications for its Direct Aid Program (DAP) which is a flexible and small grants program funded by the Australian Government and managed by the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The purpose of the program is to assist local development humanitarian and initiatives in developing countries and at the same time meet Australia’s goals of public diplomacy and international relations.
The program focuses on helping small and medium-sized development projects and activities involving beneficiaries and the proposing institution directly in the identification, structuring, implementation and management of projects.
Funding Information
Projects may request amounts up to a maximum limit of R $ 130,000 (six hundred thousand reais) or 60,000 (sixty thousand) Australian dollars.
Eligibility Criteria
- The DAP is available to non-governmental and non-profit organizations, individuals, community groups and other entities involved in development activities in Brazil.
- Projects should be primarily aimed at practical and tangible results, with a major impact on the development of impacted communities. The financial contribution of the DAP is available for activities focused on economic empowerment (new alternatives for income generation), sports and health, that favor minority and gender equality and recycling and waste.
