The Department of Justice and Equality is seeking applications for its Disability Awareness Raising Grant Scheme 2017 with an aim to support the promotion of disability awareness in mainstream sport, physical activity and recreation.
The program now invites applications with proposals that will raise awareness of disability and that will demonstrate effective action to improve attitudes towards people with disabilities.
Funding Information
Grant awards will range from €5,000 to a maximum of €40,000 per project.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Department of Justice and Equality’s Disability Awareness Raising Grant Scheme 2017 is only available to voluntary, not-forprofit organisations based in the Republic of Ireland.
- The Department of Justice and Equality will look favourably on applications:
- That are innovative and cost effective and that aim to have a multiplier effect at a national level in order to promote disability awareness in the community with a focus on mainstream organisations involved in sport, physical activity and recreation
- That have a focus on transferability whereby the approach and deliverables can be used by other organisations as a model of good practice
- That demonstrate partnerships between organisations to promote disability awareness and build competence within organisations that are involved in mainstream sport, physical activity and recreation
