Voice’s Laos Innovate and Learn Grants: Testing and Scaling New Approaches

Are you an organisation that is up for developing creative and innovative projects with the Voice target groups?  Do you have a history of trying and documenting new things to help push the boundaries somewhat? Do you want to inspire attitudinal and policy change amongst people and government in Laos towards your target group? Do you want to try new ways to innovate and learn at a national and/or local level? If yes then apply for Voice’s Laos Innovate and Learn Grants!

Innovate and Learn grants are for groups and/or organisations interesting in testing and scaling new approaches that are human-centred and adapted to suit the local context.

Funding Information

Innovate and learn grants are available from €5,000 to €200,000 on a rolling basis with two review cycles a year.

Impact Areas

  • Improved access to (productive) resources (finance, land and water) and employment
  • improved access to social services, health and education in particular
  • Space for political participation

Focus of the Project

  • Women facing exploitation, abuse and/or violence
  • People Living with Disabilities
  • Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual and intersex people (LGBTI)
  • Age-discriminated vulnerable groups, notably the young and elderly
  • Ethnic minorities and indigenous people

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant (or the lead applicant in case of consortium) works with Voice target groups to build their capacity to lobby or advocate for their interests or to have their voices heard OR (for organisations with broader objectives) it is also possible to demonstrate this on the grounds of the track record of the organisation
  • The applicant/lead-applicant (where application is by a consortium) registered as a local entity under the laws of Laos with a bank account in its own name.
  • The applicant/co-applicant(s) – (where application is by a consortium) recognise the core values of Voice being the equal rights for every human being regardless of gender, ethnicity, religious belief, disability, sexual orientation, social class and age.
