WWF Nepal: Seeking Proposals for Small Grants Program

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Nepal is seeking proposals from relevant CSOs (NGOs, academic and research institutions, community-based organizations), private sector organizations, consulting firms, individuals, and media houses for Small Grants Program under USAID funded Hariyo Ban Program.

The Hariyo Ban Program is designed to benefit nature and people in Nepal, and is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

In order to ensure innovation, flexibility and responsiveness; Hariyo Ban Program has Small Grants Program for Government agencies, CSOs (NGOs, academic and research institutions, community-based organizations), private sector organizations, consulting firms, individuals, media houses and Students. The Small Grants Program will support capacity building, provide technical assistance, and help grab new opportunities that arise in the fields of biodiversity conservation, CCA, livelihoods, GESI and governance.

Major themes for the Small Grants Program are: Biodiversity Conservation, Climate change adaptation, Market based livelihood opportunities, Gender equality and social inclusion, Governance, Communications and Outreach, and Monitoring and Evaluation.

Funding Information

  • Maximum duration for implementation of SGP is one year.
  • The size of the grant will be between USD 10,000 and USD 50,000 for a single project.

  • Eligible organizations include Nepalese CSOs (NGOs, academic and research institutions, community based organizations), private sector organizations, consulting firms, individuals, and media houses).
  • International organizations can partner with Nepalese organizations in the applications, but proposals must be submitted by Nepalese organizations as the lead partner.

Eligible organizations, individuals and students are requested to submit electronic copies of proposals at the address given on the website, with ‘Small Grants Program’ as the subject line.
