The Climate Tracker is inviting trackers from everywhere in the world for its “Stay below 1.5!” writing competition  and the best writer will get a chance to attend the UNFCCC climate negotiations in May 2018, which will be held in Bonn, Germany.

Climate Tracker are looking for young writers from around the world who want to make a big impact in their countries by writing about the necessity to stay below 1.5 degrees of warming and the ways in which they can reach that target:

  • 100% renewable energy,
  • natural climate solutions
  • zero fossil fuels and their vested influence.

The best writer will get a chance to attend the climate negotiations in May 2018, which will be held in Bonn, Germany. There applicant will receive training on climate and journalism by Climate Tracker, get to attend the international climate negotiations and meet amazing people from everywhere in the world.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The call is open to all countries.
  • They accept applicants that are between 18 and 30 years old, but applicant are encouraged to apply anyway if applicant do not fulfill this requirement (age is just a number anyway).
