Applications are open for Sevenhills Wholefoods Health and Education in the Developing World Fund that is focused on health and education initiatives in the developing world.
Sevenhills Wholefoods, a business that sells superfoods, funds projects around the world that support those in the greatest need to access the basics in life that it believes everyone should have such as food, education, housing, medicine, clean water and sanitation.
Each year, the company sets aside a small amount of money to support projects that it feels meets its objectives for that year. Projects taking place in 2017/18 should be focused on health and education initiatives in the developing world.
Funding Information and Priorities
Grants of up to £5,000 could be used for a number of different projects, including but not limited to:
- Basic literacy skills in schools for primary aged children.
- Increase access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.
- Narrow the gender gap in youth literacy rates.
- Provide safe clean water for all.
- Reduce child mortality.
- Improve maternal health.
- Combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases.
Eligibility Criteria
Proposals will be accepted from UK registered charities including voluntary organisations, community groups, social enterprises, and registered societies that are based and registered in the UK but who are working in the developing world.
