The Khaled Hosseini Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit provides humanitarian assistance for the people of Afghanistan.
The Foundation works with the United Nations refugee organization (UNHCR) to build shelters for refugee families. It also provides economic opportunities, education, and healthcare for women and children of Afghanistan.
Eligibility Criteria
- Only nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations that are working to provide shelter for refugee families and economic and education opportunities and healthcare for women and children in Afghanistan are eligible to apply for the Omid Grant.
- The Foundation does not fund individuals, individual trips or tours, conferences or events, or projects that benefit political, religious or military organizations.
