The Buderim Foundation is offering Community Grants to enrich Buderim community’s quality of life through community based philanthropy.
Their vision is to be widely known for their vital role in making Buderim a vibrant and generous community.
Through this program the Foundation continues to promote a thriving community that is socially responsible, truly connected and supportive of one another.
Objectives
For your organisation to be considered for an annual Buderim Foundation Community Grant you’ll need to demonstrate how your project directly benefits residents within the 4556 postcode area (that is, Buderim, Forest Glen, Kunda Park, Mons, Sippy Downs and Tanawha) and how it addresses one or more of the following objectives:
- Protects and preserves their natural environment
- Assists people in need to live healthy and fulfilling lives
- Adds richness and diversity to local artistic and cultural endeavours
- Increases learning opportunities across all age groups
- Celebrates and showcases their heritage and local history
- Encourages and supports those with sporting and other recreation interests
- Strengthens the social fabric of the community
- Supports youth in their community
Funding Information
The Foundation awards grants up to $10,000 to successful applicants. The one-off cash payment for the specified project is transferred by electronic funds transfer into a bank account held in the name of the successful organisation.
Eligibility Criteria
Your organisation needs to be a legal entity in Australia with a current Australian Business Number (ABN) and is required to be one or more of the following:
- A not-for-profit community organisation
- A registered charity with the Australian Tax Office (ATO)
- Endorsed by the ATO as a Deductible Gift Recipient
Ineligibility Criteria
- Individuals or sole traders
- For-profit companies
- Government entities
- Community organisations that do not have enough revenue to cover their operating costs and all debts as they fall due
- Community organisations that have received a Buderim Foundation grant in the past but have not yet acquitted these funds.
Prerequisites
- Your organisation must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in these guidelines.
- Applications must be completed in full, including all requested attachments.
- Only provide information which is specifically requested. They will contact you if more information is required.
- Organisations can only submit one application per year.
- Funding is provided for projects that will be completed within one year (unless unique or exceptional circumstances require funding over a longer period).
- By submitting your application, you agree to the terms and conditions detailed in these guidelines.
- The organisation applying must deliver the project outlined.
- Any partner organisations or groups involved in delivery of the project must be listed in the application.
- They encourage the use of local suppliers based in South East Queensland for project outcomes.
