Internews is looking for storytellers who are passionate about talking about cross-cultural stories with fresh perspectives. Stories that amplify the voices of marginalized and underrepresented communities: women, youth, religious and ethnic minorities, sexual minorities, and differently-abled persons from across the island. Stories told from these communities’ point of view which is rarely heard in media.
Themes
- They are looking for stories that fall within the following themes:
- Impact of the economic/political crisis on women and other minority groups, and
- Peaceful pluralism, religious and ethnic diversity.
Eligibility Criteria
- Anyone who would like to report stories, from any background: mainstream media, alternative media, media startups.
- Negombo, Kandy, Vavuniya and Batticoloa.
