The Morris J. & Betty Kaplun Foundation seeks to support organizations in its Winter 2022-23 grant cycle that generate opportunity for advancement and access for their constituents through a focus on education and literacy.
Funding Information
- Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to one or more organizations doing work in the areas of education and literacy.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofit organizations in the United States and elsewhere are encouraged to submit proposals, using the online submission portal on this web page.
- Must be a non-profit organization with a 501(c)3 status or international equivalent, able to accept funds in accordance with IRS rules.
- Should have an annual budget of less than $3 million. The Foundation may consider proposals from larger organizations for distinct projects or divisions with smaller budgets.
- Religious congregations (synagogues, churches, Hillels, etc.) should not apply, unless for a project that is aligned with the board’s Winter 2022-23 mission and distinct from any religious activities or programming.
- Organizations selected for final reviews should be available for an online “site visit” on a weekday late afternoon/early evening during the weeks of November 28 or December 5.
- They ask that recipients recipients acknowledge the Morris J. & Betty Kaplun Foundation in its materials and website, as appropriate.
- Recipients should provide a brief report, within one year of the grant award, showing how the funds were used and the results.
