Deadline: 4-May-22
The Newham London has launched the Community Health Grant Programme to develop ideas that help people to live well with COVID across these three areas, including their emotional and mental wellbeing.
If you have an idea that might people from one or more of these groups live well with COVID, including having their COVID vaccines, they want to help you try that idea out. You might be a business, a voluntary group, a church or mosque or other place of worship, a school or college. You might already work with people on their health or on something else. It doesn’t matter as long as you have an idea.
They’re open to all ideas. They will prioritize ideas that support groups who are the most at risk of COVID-19, including having low vaccine rates. If you’re under 18 years old and have an idea but need a sponsor you can also get in touch and they can help you.
Objectives
- Taking steps to be as healthy and well as possible, including mental and emotional wellbeing.
- Doing what is reasonable not to get or spread the virus.
- Having the best protection from severe illness by having the COVID-19 vaccines.
They are focusing on groups where the impact of COVID-19 is high and where rates of COVID-19 vaccine are low:
- People under 40
- People from Black African backgrounds.
- People from Black Caribbean backgrounds.
- People who are from Eastern European backgrounds.
- People from Pakistani backgrounds.
- Women who are pregnant or new mums.
