The Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan is inviting applications for the Urgent Need Grants to respond the developing COVID-19 crisis that is impacting and will continue to impact many friends and neighbors across northeast Michigan for the following counties: Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Crawford, Iosco, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda and Presque Isle.
The Foundation look to their nonprofit partners to make a difference throughout the community. If your nonprofit organization is playing an active role in helping individuals and families during this difficult time, they may be able to offer financial support.
Funding Information
The maximum grant request amount is $5,000 for organizations whose project will benefit residents of one county. If your project will affect more than one county, you may apply for a maximum of $15,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Your organization is playing an active role in helping individuals and families affected by COVID-19.
- Your organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, government agency, church, or a school in order to receive funding.
- Note: If applicant is a school, please include a letter of support from the superintendent that includes why funds are not included in the school budget/how this request fits into the overall school district plan.
- Your organization must serve one or more of the following counties in northeast Michigan: Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Crawford, Iosco, Montmorency, Ogemaw, Oscoda and Presque Isle.
- To ensure your application can be considered for funding as quickly as possible, please be sure to include answers to ALL questions. Leaving any fields blank will result in a delay of your application being processed and reviewed.
