The Women’s Fund is pleased to announce its 2021 grants cycle. Applications will be accepted from organizations whose primary focus is to address key issues affecting women and girls in Central New York.
The Women’s Fund of Central New York seeks to improve the lives of women and girls, serve as a voice and advocate for women and girls, educate women about philanthropy, and engage women in creating change through collective and targeted giving.
The Women’s Fund of Central New York supports, empowers and recognizes the advancement and full participation of women and girls in Central New York through an endowment fund, grants and initiatives.
With the help of Peggy Ogden, former President & CEO of the Community Foundation, they organized and formed their Leadership Council. In addition, they forged consensus on their mission, their values and these four goals:
- Identify and provide funding for causes that support and empower women and girls
- Develop and recognize leadership in women and girls
- Promote the status of women in the community at large
- Establish in women a sense of identity and responsibility as philanthropists
Eligibility Criteria
- Applications will be accepted from non-profit organizations determined as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Code (IRS) that provide services in Onondaga, Cayuga, Madison and/or Oswego counties.
- If the IRS does not recognize your organization as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, you must submit written approval from the 501(c)(3) sponsor that has agreed to act as your fiscal agent for the grant.
- Preference will be given to organizations with annual operating budgets of $5M or less.
