The C&A Foundation is seeking innovative concepts to improve working conditions in the apparel supply chain.
The Foundation is calling for Expression of Interest (EOI) that:
- Increase accountability in the apparel industry through more transparent and traceable supply chains; and/or
- Enable apparel worker voices and opinions to be heard.
Multi-year proposals with maximum budgets of EUR1.5 million will be considered as well as smaller pilots with durations of less than 18 months.
The Foundation welcomes both global and geography-specific concepts from all types of organisations (profit, non-profit, public sector). Geography-specific concepts must be in one or more of the following countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Turkey, or Vietnam.
Focus Areas
- Improved Livelihoods and fair wages
- Just conditions for apparel workers
- Restored natural environments in areas impacted by the industry
Work Areas
- Demonstrating self sustaining models and methodologies to transform business and supply chains
- Strengthening platforms and institutions to enable industry-wide change
- Advocating for policy and behavior change through the value chain, from supplier to customer.
How to Apply
Applicants must submit two documents:
- Concept note – adhering to the concept guidelines
- Detailed proposal – with background analysis, a problem statement, objectives and approach, a budget and a monitoring and evaluation framework.
