The Internews representative office in Kazakhstan has announced a competition to provide small grants for conducting journalistic investigations. The purpose of the issue is to support investigative journalism in Kazakhstan.

- Social programs (relevant for Kazakhstan);
- Civil activity to improve the lives of citizens, solve community problems.
Benefits
The amount of the grant is calculated to cover the necessary expenses: hire of transport, salary of journalists, purchase of equipment, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- Kazakhstani media involved in investigations can apply for small grants. Internews will support the production of multimedia materials on investigative topics.
- Grant recipients can be:
- TV and radio companies, newspapers and magazines, having their own Internet resources, multimedia publications, practicing journalistic investigations in Kazakhstan.
- The grantee should publish the materials on his own website and send Internews the right to publish on his resources.
Selection Criteria
- Potential grantees will be identified by the jury.
- Grant applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- The content does not contradict the legislative norms;
- The content represents different points of view;
- Content does not pursue the interests of promoting any political, religious or other parties and individuals;
- The content corresponds to the stated Internews themes and genres;
- A creative approach is used;
- Possibility to implement the project in several languages.
How to Apply
- Grant applications should contain a description, the purpose, the expected results of the project (why and how the project will interest the audience), the work plan, the budget and the editorial support letter. It is recommended to attach the CV of the project participants to the application.
- Applications must be submitted online via email at the address given on the website.
