Apply for Leakey Foundation’s Research Grant!

Deadline: 15 July 2017

The Leakey Foundation is currently inviting applications for its research grants with an aim to promote the sharing of data in an appropriate manner consistent with the needs of grantees, but with the recognition that different fields of study require different approaches to data sharing.

The Leakey Foundation exclusively funds research related specifically to human origins. Priority of funding is commonly given to the exploratory phases of promising new research projects that meet the stated purpose of the Foundation.

It is recommended that each applicant provide a brief statement (no more than one paragraph) of how they intend to make the data resulting from their Leakey Foundation grant available to others. The data sharing statement must include a more detailed plan than an intention to publish or present at a conference.
