Deadline: 16-Aug-2025

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry is inviting innovative food startups to take part in the World Food India 2025 Startup Grand Challenge 3.0. This national-level competition, launched by the Ministry of Food Processing and Industries (MoFPI) in collaboration with Startup India, aims to drive innovation and fast-track technological progress in the food processing sector.

The challenge encourages disruptive ideas backed by new perspectives and cutting-edge research. Startups are invited to address key problem areas such as sustainable or smart packaging solutions, AI-based automation and sensors in the MSME sector, alternate proteins with a complete amino acid profile, and food safety and traceability system applications in the food industry.

The top six ideas will each receive a cash prize of ₹4 lakh from MoFPI. In addition to financial support, winners will also benefit from non-fiscal incentives such as pro-bono incubation or acceleration support worth up to ₹2.5 lakh.

Participants will get the chance to test their products in real market conditions through field and pilot testing. They will also have access to technical validation of their innovations by NIFTEM-Thanjavur. The challenge is open exclusively to Indian nationals, including startups and individual entrepreneurs or innovators.
