The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)/skills calls for Expression of Interest (EoI) from Public Organization/Civil Society Organizations (CSOs/NGOs/Employers/Employers’ Associations and Private Technical Training Providers/Institutes/Organizations) to conduct skills development training, support for skill testing of Returnee Migrant Workers (RMWs) and provide post training support in Madhesh and Lumbini Provinces.

Objectives

The purpose of this project is to enhance RMWs employability through skills training, certification and post training support for their transition to labour market employment as many RMWs have been rendered unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following are the immediate objectives:

Note: Skill training, skill testing, post-training career counselling, technical support and mentoring will be carried out with intensive focus to women, historically disadvantaged, poor, and marginalized communities.

The main purpose of this project is the productive reintegration of RMWs into the labour market and the economy, particularly the women, historically disadvantaged, poor, and marginalized groups. The project works in four thematic areas:
