The World Food Programme (WFP) has issued a call for expressions of interest for the 2026 SANAD Emergency Crises Response Safety Nets Project.
The focus areas of this opportunity include Food Security and Cash Assistance.
The project aims to ensure that all targeted beneficiaries safely receive full cash-based transfers for 12 months and to strengthen resilience and local systems for sustained safety nets. It seeks to address immediate humanitarian needs while supporting long-term recovery and resilience-building among vulnerable populations affected by crises.
Through this initiative, WFP continues its commitment to improving food access and economic stability in Sudan’s Northern region. By reinforcing local systems, the program helps communities transition from dependence on emergency aid toward sustainable livelihoods.
