Apply for Presentation and Participation Grant Program (Singapore)

Residency Open Call for Artists based in the Philippines

Deadline: 15-Aug-2025

The National Arts Council’s Presentation and Participation Grant supports a wide range of arts practitioners and organisations in Singapore. Its aim is to encourage artistic expression, enhance the country’s artistic diversity, and boost public appreciation and participation in the arts.

Funding varies depending on the type of project and applicant. For most project types except publishing and music albums, individuals and non-profit organisations can receive up to 70% of a realistic budget, capped at $50,000 per financial year. For-profit organisations can receive up to 50% of the budget, also capped at $50,000.

For publishing projects, all applicants—whether individuals, non-profits, or for-profit organisations—are eligible for up to 50% of the project budget, with a funding cap of $100,000 per financial year. Music EPs and albums are divided into two tiers. For individuals and non-profits recording their first EP or album, there is one-off funding of up to $10,000. Those with previously released music can apply for up to 50% of the budget, capped at $50,000. For-profit organisations may receive the same amount for first-time projects and up to 30% of the budget for those with past releases, also capped at $50,000.

The grant covers costs related to the production and presentation of performances, exhibitions, artform publications, music EPs and albums, co-creative or process-driven public projects, and conferences or festivals. These must fall within performing, visual, literary, or multi-disciplinary art forms.

Eligible applicants include individuals who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents, with priority given to self-employed persons actively working in the local arts scene. Organisations must be registered in Singapore through ACRA or the Registry of Societies. Informal groups with a majority of Singaporean or PR members can also apply. Additionally, foreign publishers are eligible if they plan to publish or translate literary works by Singaporean authors for promotion locally or internationally.

Applications will not be accepted from organisations constituted for religious purposes, major companies already receiving NAC funding, or Companies Limited by Guarantee receiving support from MCCY or NAC. Projects will be ineligible if they are commissioned by a Major Company, have already started at the time of application, lack a clear arts component, promote religious causes, are held at religious venues, are not meant for public audiences, aim to raise funds, are presented under schools or tertiary institutions, or are meant for academic purposes.
