Call for Entries: Angkor Photo Workshops

Call for Applications: Science for Factchecking Participation in a Training for Trainers Workshop

Deadline: 15-Oct-2025

The Angkor Photo Festival and Workshops is pleased to announce that they are now accepting applications for the next Angkor Photo Workshops.

They welcome all methods and approaches to the medium of photography. There are no restrictions on the type of projects that participants can undertake during the workshops. It is important that participants are ready to fully immerse themselves in Siem Reap and the experience of the workshops, and to be prepared to create work which comes from discovering and creating direct connections with the place and people.

The workshop invites photographers of all Asian nationalities aged 21 and above to apply, and a group of 20 participants will be selected by the tutors. The 21st Angkor Photo Workshop will be led by six tutors and alumni facilitators, who will guide participants in creating a body of work during their time in Siem Reap.

Projects developed during the workshops will be shared with the public at the conclusion of the program. The application process is free and conducted online. Applicants are required to submit a short biography (maximum 120 words), a brief project proposal (maximum 200 words) that outlines a potential body of work for the workshop, and samples of previous work as still images or a single PDF file.

While accommodation is provided from January 30 to February 8 in shared twin or triple rooms, participants must cover travel expenses, visa fees (if applicable), daily meals, and local transport costs. Photographic equipment and a laptop are required, and darkroom facilities are not readily available in Siem Reap. The workshop is conducted in English.

The deadline for applications is 15th October 2025 (Midnight, Cambodia time +7GMT)
