CFAs: First Nations Arts and Culture Business Innovation Award (Australia)

Round 1: Touring of Work Scheme in Ireland

Deadline: 16-Sep-2025

Creative Australia is now accepting nominations for the 2026 First Nations Arts and Culture Business Innovation Award. This award celebrates outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship among small- to medium-sized Australian First Nations arts and culture businesses or community organisations across the country, including Art Centres.

The award offers a prize of $25,000 to the selected recipient. It aims to recognise creative and impactful initiatives that have contributed to the growth and development of First Nations-led arts and cultural enterprises.

To be eligible, the business or organisation must be led and owned by Australian First Nations people. It must operate within the arts and culture sector, including areas such as literature, dance, music, visual arts, theatre, experimental arts, multi-arts, or community arts and cultural development. The organisation must be based in Australia and must not have received this award in the past.

For this category, only self-nominations are accepted. When submitting a nomination, applicants are asked to describe their main area of business, share the outcomes achieved through their innovation, and explain a recent entrepreneurial or innovative initiative. The nomination should highlight the impact of this work and how it has supported the growth and success of the organisation. A brief summary of the innovation and achievements should also be included.
