Circulation and Touring Grant Program in Canada

Funding Opportunity: Strengthening Health, Education & Women’s Rights

Deadline: 29-Oct-2025

The Circulation and Touring component is part of the Arts Across Canada and Abroad program, designed to support the movement and presentation of Canadian artists, exhibitions, and artistic works.

The program aims to facilitate artistic exchange and networking, helping Canadian artists, groups, and organizations gain national and international exposure. Grants support performances, exhibitions, and other artistic presentations that foster connections with audiences across Canada and abroad.

Applicants can receive up to $200,000 per application, covering a maximum of 50% of eligible costs. The total funding an applicant can receive in a year is capped at $400,000.

Eligible applicants include individual artists or arts workers, First Nations, Inuit, or Métis artists or cultural workers, artistic groups, collectives, artistic organizations, presenting organizations, not-for-profit Indigenous organizations, as well as foreign arts festivals, biennales, or book fairs. Organizations currently receiving core grants are also eligible to apply.

Funding supports the circulation or touring of artists, exhibitions, or artistic works to one or more destinations, both within Canada and internationally when part of a recognized exchange.

Projects that circulate or tour works without rights to present them, or self-presented projects abroad without foreign financial support, are not eligible. Activities taking place at the applicant’s own venue, festival, or event in Canada, as well as most arts presentation activities except foreign biennales, are also excluded.
