Grants for Polish Candidates to Take Part in an Artist Residency

V@CCELERATE X14 Startup Accelerator Program in India

Deadline: 29-Aug-21

The Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute (IAM) is inviting Polish candidates to take part in an artist residency at Akademie Schloss Solitude. The programme is aimed at young artists interested in a transdisciplinary approach and working within a group.

The residency programme at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art is a curatorial programme addressed to artists and curators coming to Poland from all over the world. They support their guests in the implementation of their artistic projects and encourage them to experiment in the fields of their choice. They understand residencies as a medium for artistic activity that allows artist to seek new ways of presentation other than the exhibition model. They conduct research projects mapping the city, collaborate with local communities and support the exchange of knowledge. They promote the idea of mobility within Poland and the broadly understood Eastern Europe.

Akademie Schloss Solitude combines faith in artistic and academic exchange with the idea of a safe harbour. Akademie residencies allow participants to focus on developing projects in favourable material and intellectual conditions, thanks to which the available resources can be used in an optimal way. Schloss Solitude makes sure that artists can focus on their creative pursuits without having to worry about day-to-day stresses and the pressures of time.
