Deadline: 19-Nov-2025
The Public Outreach stream, part of the Arts Across Canada and Abroad program, offers funding to Canadian groups and organizations that enhance public appreciation and enjoyment of the arts.
This grant supports a wide variety of activities designed to build meaningful connections between artists and diverse audiences nationwide.
Funding is available for projects of up to $75,000 and can be used for live artistic presentations such as performances, festivals, exhibitions, and reading series. It also supports public development initiatives, including artist talks, panels, knowledge-sharing events, and community engagement activities. Additionally, the grant covers non-literary publishing projects that contribute to the public’s access to and understanding of the arts, though promotional materials are excluded.
Eligible applicants include artistic groups, arts-supporting organizations, presenting organizations, as well as First Nations, Inuit, and Métis groups, both non-profit and for-profit. Business cultural connectors involved in promoting cultural exchange can also apply.
The Public Outreach grant focuses on activities that actively engage the public through artistic presentation, dialogue, and publication. It does not fund activities that lack a direct public engagement element or service and support functions.
This program plays an important role in enriching Canada’s cultural landscape by encouraging diverse and inclusive artistic experiences that resonate with communities across the country.
