iCS announces Nature & Climate AI Challenge in Brazil

Open Call: Consolidation of the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs with reinforced AI focus)

Deadline: 22-Apr-25

The Institute for Climate and Society (iCS) announces the Nature & Climate AI Challenge to encourage the development of new uses for digital technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), that mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, conserve biodiversity and promote greater resilience in ecosystems.

The investment seeks to support the development of digital solutions (improved or new), including software, hardware, research, methodologies, techniques, concepts, practices or theories, aimed at the systematization of databases, remote sensing, monitoring systems, prediction and forecasting systems, as well as tools to assist decision-making in public policies, among others.

The Challenge aims to stimulate actions in less served regions, including the Amazon region and other parts of Brazil.

The Challenge is organized into three pillars of activity: Regenerative Agriculture, Reversing Biodiversity Loss and Bioeconomy.
