Nominations has opened for the 11th edition of the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award (NHEA) to celebrate excellence, innovation, and dedication within Nigeria’s healthcare sector.
The 2025 edition billed to hold June 27, 2025, in Lagos, will continue the tradition by honouring outstanding individuals, institutions, and organizations that have made significant contributions to healthcare delivery.
Theme
- The theme of this year is: “Collaborating for Impact: Strengthening Health Systems through the SWAp Approach”
- This year’s theme underscores the importance of multi-sectoral partnerships and coordinated efforts in driving sustainable healthcare improvements. It highlights the collective role of stakeholders across both public and private sectors in strengthening Nigeria’s health system.
Categories
- The award categories will feature four major award categories with over 30 subcategories, covering various aspects of the healthcare industry, including:
- Special Recognition Awards
- Healthcare Delivery Services
- Biomedical Technology & Innovation
- Pharmaceutical Excellence and Health Tech
Eligibility Criteria
- Special Awards
- The award is open to companies, organizations and individuals who have contributed (an entire body of work, not just a single achievement) over and above the call of duty. Through their career and the organisation’s history, their impact, inputs and investments must have led to the development of the health sector.
- Healthcare Delivery Services
- The award is open to companies and organizations who with a consistent history of contribution (an entire body of work, not just a single achievement) over and above the call of duty throughout their career and must have contributed throughout their lifetime to the development of the health sector.
- Biomedical Technology Awards
- Presented to companies that have provided cutting-edge technology solutions to enhance provision of quality service delivery to patients by healthcare providers. They play a pivotal role in the medical landscape by sourcing, producing, maintaining and innovating on the latest technologies available to healthcare service providers and patients. The ultimate outcome is an optimal ecosystem that helps in improving healthcare outcomes.
- Pharmaceutical Awards
- The award is open to Pharmaceutical companies and organizations in Nigeria who must have contributed to development of the healthcare sector and patient outcomes through innovation, logistics and supply chain management, geographic spread and impact.
- Health Tech Awards
- The Award is Open to the Healthcare Tech Companies in Nigeria.
