Drishtee inviting innovations to regenerate Dignified Livelihoods in villages of India

EU Support to Livestock Sector in Northern Communal Areas of Namibia

The Drishtee is inviting ideas/innovations from residents/ returned migrants to villages of India for its Made in Rural India (MIRI) Gram-Udyog (GU) Ideapod (IP) program to support them in starting up micro-enterprises.

This program is an endeavor by Drishtee, a social enterprise building sustainable communities for over two decades with its reach across 6000 villages in 17 states of India, to regenerate alternative & dignified livelihoods for Covid19 pandemic-hit migrants within their villages and revitalizing rural economy through community-led sustainable enterprises.

Eligibility Criteria

On successful submission of the idea registration form by the applicants, it will undergo a desk verification on completeness of the required details, eligibility as per scoping of program, and to identify the commitment of the ideator to pursue towards implementation.

In addition to this, based on the response to the questionnaire, ideas will be shortlisted on aspects of desirability, feasibility and viability of the proposed innovation & solution.

External Experts Pool (social entrepreneurs, financial institutions, govt. scheme reps) will conduct a rigorous evaluation of the business plans submitted by prospective entrepreneurs to guide towards sustainable enterprises. Personalised mentoring will be mapped for enabling the selected entrepreneurs to incorporate the guidance in implementing pilots with the seed grant provided by the program team.

Successful Pilots are pitched for social investments/scale-up grants/ low interest loans with a handholding support provided by the mentor pool of the program team.
