Ireland: Start Your Own Social Enterprise – Free Business Course

Call for EOIs: Partnerships for Increasing the Resilience of Women-Led MSMEs to Climate Change Impacts

Deadline: 8-Sep-22

The Rethink Ireland has announced the applications for Start Your Own Social Enterprise – Free Business Course that focuses on continued seed funding for start-up social enterprises, elevated funding for enterprises at the next stage and offering a business course across all Local Authority regions in Ireland.

The Start a social enterprise Course is part of Rethink Ireland’s Social Enterprise Development Fund which was created in 2018 by Rethink Ireland in partnership with Local Authorities Ireland and supported by IPB Insurance and the Department of Rural and Community Development through the Dormant Accounts Fund is a €4.4 million Fund.

This course will marry the necessary modules in business skills and social impact tools to make it unique and aimed specifically at social enterprise development. The course will be aimed at Idea stage social enterprises (vague ideas included; teasing them out will be part of the course)

This course will take an emerging idea and give the participants the tools to take the idea to the next stage.

A Social Enterprise starts with an individual or group recognizing a societal problem and having an idea they believe will solve the problem. A social innovator wants to solve the problem, which can be local, regional, or national, with innovation, have a positive impact on those affected, and undertake the work as a not-for-profit.
