Deadline: 05-Nov-2025

The Purolator is offering a unique opportunity for small businesses across Canada to gain recognition and financial support through its Small Business Grant Contest.

Prizes include twelve $500 Visa gift cards for nominators, thirty-three $500 Visa gift cards for finalist grant nominees, and five grant prizes for selected small businesses. Each grant prize includes $25,000 in cash and $500 in Purolator shipping credits. Prizes are in Canadian dollars, inclusive of HST, and are non-transferable, non-refundable, and provided on an “as is” basis.

Eligible nominators must be legal residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their Province or Territory of residence and must be owners, founders, employees, customers, partners, vendors, or other general supporters, including Purolator Employees, of the eligible nominated small business. Nominators cannot be directors, executives, employees of Purolator’s advertising or promotional agencies involved in the Contest, persons involved in administering or judging the Contest, or anyone immediately related to such individuals.

Grant nominees must be small businesses based in Canada, legally licensed or registered to operate in Canada, with 50 employees or fewer, and in good financial standing. Grant nominees cannot have employees or owners connected to Purolator, its advertising or promotional agencies, or any individuals involved in administering or judging the Contest. Some finalist and grant prizes are reserved exclusively for Purolator Customers, defined as those with a Purolator Business Account in good standing who have made at least one shipment during the contest period.

Submissions are evaluated in two phases. Phase 1 considers quality of content, impact, business model & values and community support. Phase 2 involves contacting a minimum of thirty-three top-scoring small businesses to confirm participation and eligibility. Winners are required to complete a Declaration and Release and grant Purolator a non-exclusive license to use their submission for promotional purposes.

Entries can be submitted via the Contest Website either through email invitations sent to Purolator Customers or through paid advertisements inviting the general public and Purolator Employees to nominate small businesses. Entrants may submit up to five entries, with each entry being unique and complete. Submissions must be original, lawful, respectful, and free of offensive or inappropriate content, including nudity, vulgar language, illegal activity, and unauthorized use of third-party intellectual property. Application closes on 5 November 2025.
