Applicants are invited to apply for the 2018 Young Emerging Artist Prize and get a chance to be part of this year’s YEAP programme and become mentored by established artists in preparing for the highlight exhibition of the year.
In 2015, Stal Gallery has started an initiative for young Omani artists to develop their talents in a platform where they are mentored by established artists, meet other young creatives, and get exposure for their art. The YEAP is a friendly competition and yields three awards – the YEAP Grand Prize Winner, Best Concept Award, and the Best Presentation Award.
Stal Gallery selects ten to twelve artists from all the applications received and are placed in a mentoring programme with established Omani artists. This year, Stal Gallery is committed to bringing international artists to give lectures and workshops to the artists who will be participating in the YEAP programme.
Eligibility Criteria
Aspiring young Omani artists of ages 18-35 can apply for the programme. The artists should be in Oman for the duration of the programme.
