Applications open for KCSF Institutional Grants in Kosovo

CFPs: Organizational Development Grants Program in Kosovo

Deadline: 26-Oct-2025

The Kosovar Civil Society Foundation (KCSF) is currently inviting applications for Institutional Grants under its Engagement for Joint Action (EJA Kosovo) program.

This funding opportunity aims to strengthen civil society organizations, unregistered initiatives, and individual activists in Kosovo by providing long-term support to advance their missions, expand outreach, and promote citizen-driven advocacy.

KCSF’s Institutional Grants are designed to empower civil society actors to operate more independently and sustainably. The program supports organizations working across a wide range of thematic areas, including governance, social inclusion, human rights, environmental protection, youth empowerment, and community development. Rather than focusing on predetermined sectors, this flexible grant allows applicants to propose initiatives that directly respond to the evolving needs of their communities.

Applicants are encouraged to form partnerships and collaborations that enhance collective impact. Eligible entities include registered NGOs, informal groups, and individual activists, provided they demonstrate the capacity to deliver public benefit and transparency in their operations. KCSF maintains a strong commitment to fairness throughout the evaluation process, offering clear guidance, open communication, and public interviews with shortlisted applicants to ensure integrity and accountability.

Organizations can apply for funding for a minimum of 24 months and a maximum of 34 months, providing a valuable opportunity for sustained organizational growth. The maximum budget per grant is EUR 40,000 per year, ensuring meaningful yet manageable financial support for long-term initiatives. This structure enables civil society organizations to plan, implement, and evaluate their projects over an extended period while maintaining financial stability.

In addition to Institutional Grants, KCSF also provides other forms of support such as Organizational Development Grants, Small Project Grants, Urgent Grants, and Networking Support, allowing civil society actors to access funding suited to their specific scale and purpose.

Through this call, KCSF reaffirms its dedication to nurturing a vibrant, participatory, and resilient civil society in Kosovo. By investing in organizations that champion inclusion, accountability, and citizen engagement, these Institutional Grants aim to create lasting social impact and reinforce the foundation of democratic progress in the country.
