The focus of the program includes improving and developing women-owned and led SMEs and VSEs, building capacity to manage post-production stages such as processing, storage, and sale of rice, and contributing to the empowerment of at least 1,000 women-led enterprises in the rice value chain. The program also aims to transform norms and practices that promote the advancement of economic, social, and political rights of women within the rice value chain.
The selected NGO will work and report to the EWASME Country and Regional Project Coordinators, under the guidance of the Team Leader, People Centered Sustainable Development and Resilience Portfolio, and the Regional Specialist, Livelihoods and Economic Recovery, UNDP. The organization will implement capacity-building activities, facilitate post-harvest management training, and support women-led enterprises in improving productivity, market access, and income generation.
Applicants are required to submit a technical proposal describing their organizational expertise and approach to the assignment in accordance with the Terms of Reference. Supporting documents should include previous similar assignments with contract values and countries of delivery. A CV of at least three technical experts, including the team leader, must be included. A detailed financial proposal covering all costs related to the mission is also required.
