Creative New Zealand is seeking applications to celebrates 125 years of Suffrage. Projects must focus on women from diverse cultural backgrounds who have helped advance women’s rights.
Funding Information
$20,000 per application.
What will fund
- The Suffrage 125 Fund helps New Zealand artists, arts practitioners and arts organisations to:
- research and create work
- present and distribute their work nationally and internationally
- develop skills including mentoring, internships, workshops and conferences
- undertake community or collaborative projects, including artist or writer residences
- undertake projects with international connections
- publish catalogues, monographs, journals, books and critical writing.
- Projects must:
- focus on stories about women from diverse cultural backgrounds
- highlight issues about social change for New Zealand women and girls.
Eligibility Criteria
- As an individual applicants must be a New Zealand (NZ) citizen or permanent resident.
- NZ-based organisations can apply.
- If applicants are an overseas-based NZ artist or organisation applicants can apply. But their application must show direct benefit to NZ arts and they must have it endorsed by:
- NZ artist(s) currently resident in NZ and/or
- NZ-based arts organisation(s) (must be well established).
