The Euro-Atlantic Center has launched the 5th Edition of the Visegrad Youth Forum, which brings together young leaders from Visegrad countries, as well as Ukraine. Considering the current situation, this year the center decided to focus on security policy and the possibility of cooperation among these countries.
The goal of this project is to build a platform, which will support open and informal discussions about latest topics. The aim is to find new leaders in politics, security studies, journalism and law, who will be able to work on the international forum in the future.
The conference itself consists of two panel discussions, various workshops and a simulation in the Crisis Management Center. The panel discussions will focus on the history of Visegrad Group and Central Europe’s security challenges in cooperation with Ukraine.
The Visegrad Youth Forum 2016 consists of two stages. The participants will start with online e-learning that will help them prepare for the conference by studying important materials and familiarizing with the situation and evolution of the conflict. The conference itself is the second part of the project. It will take place from the 7th until the 9th of December in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, a town situated in the middle of the Slovak Republic.
