Fund for Korean Art Abroad 2019: Assisting Korean Artists in extending their reach Globally in Art Market

The Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism of Korea and the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS) has announced an open Call on ‘Fund for Korean Art Abroad 2019’ to assist Korean artists with extending their reach globally into the art market.

Requirements for Grantee

Once selected, the Grantee and the Korean artist/partner must abide by the following
requirements:

  1. For Grantee(Int’l Organization)
    • Conclude an MOU with KAMS.
    • Conclude a Multi-Party Contract between KAMS and the Korean artist or Korean partner.
    • Include the name and logo of ①the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism of Korea (MCST), ②the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS), and ③the grant program (FKAA) on all promotional, public relations, and relevant print materials.
    • Submit a final report up to one month after the end of the exhibition.
  2. ForKorean Artist/Korean Partner
    • Conclude a Multi-Party Contract between KAMS and the Applicant.
    • Submit a performance report within the financial year the exhibition took place. For example, if the exhibition occurs in 2019, the reportmust be submitted by December 2019.
    • Both final report and performance report must be written in the format prescribed by KAMS. If sales incurred, information about the sold artworks must be included.
