In a state of disaster or a humanitarian catastrophe, disaster relief and humanitarian aid is provided to people in need. It is usually short-term help until the long-term help by government and other institutions replaces it. Homeless, refugees, victims of natural disasters, wars and famines still exist around us and are in need of aid.
The primary purpose is to save lives, reduce suffering and respect to human dignity.
Various organisations along with the government agencies provide care and support to these victims through their funding programs. Apart from the country governments, various agencies provide international support in a faster and more effective manner in order to enhance the lives of the under-served victims of disaster.
