South African National Energy Development Institute (SANEDI) in collaboration with South African National Energy Association (SANEA) is pleased to announce SANEA Energy Awards 2017 in order to recognize South Africans and their achievements, specifically by promoting awards in the research and innovation sectors.
“Energy People Working Together” is the rallying cry of SANEA, the South African National Energy Association, as it continues to honour and celebrate the achievements of companies, organizations and individuals that are making an effort to ensure and contribute to a sustained and healthy Energy Sector. Some of these are high profile and have become household names while many are the hard working “behind the scenes” type who quietly get on and deliver. All are important to the development of South Africa.

Eligibility Criteria
- The award is made to an individual who is 35 years old or younger, who has made a significant contribution to the field of energy in the environment in which they live or work.
- The recipient will have made outstanding leadership contributions to the South African energy profession and/or to her/his employer and/or community in any or all of these areas:
- Technological or engineering innovation in the development of any aspect of energy
- Commercialisation of products or services that have made a notable impact within the energy sector
- Professional and technical society activities;
- Civic and humanitarian activities related to energy/sustainability;
- Energy project achievements
