U.S. Department of State: 2018 Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Summit

Australia: Submit Proposals for Community Environment Grants Program

Deadline: 16 April 2018

The U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for proposals to design, plan, and implement the 2018 Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Summit, contingent on the availability of funds.

The three-day Summit, to be held in Singapore in early December 2018, will gather approximately 150 participants aged 18-35 around the theme “The United States and ASEAN: Partners in Growth and Innovation.”

The 2018 YSEALI Summit will showcase innovative approaches to economic cooperation and growth by U.S. companies, organizations, and institutions in ASEAN. It will connect (a) topperforming alumni of YSEALI programs and young American entrepreneurs/innovators with a strong interest in Southeast Asia to (b) U.S. companies and institutions present in ASEAN countries.

The Summit will also provide a forum for participants to discuss and propose innovative approaches to fostering economic growth and strengthening partnerships between the U.S. and ASEAN. The Summit will bring together approximately 100 Southeast Asian alumni of YSEALI programs, including the U.S.-based Professional and Academic Fellows program, YSEALI Generation Regional Workshops, and the Seeds for the Future Competition. Other participants will include approximately 20 U.S. alumni of YSEALI reverse exchanges, and approximately 30 young American entrepreneurs and innovators, for a total of no more than 150 participants.
