The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Skopje is inviting Expressions of Interests (EOIs) for its “Advocacy, Providing Information on the Asylum Procedure, Legal Assistance and Representation of UNHCR Persons Concept Program.”
The purpose of the Call for Expression of Interest is to solicit interest from existing or prospective partners that wish to participate in a UNHCR operation and contribute complementary resources (human resources, knowledge, funds, in-kind contributions, supplies and/or equipment) to achieving common objectives as agreed in a Project Partnership Agreement.
Objectives
- Access to the territory improved and risk of refoulement reduced
- Access to legal assistance and legal remedies as well as access to and quality of refugee status determination procedures improved and advocacy conducted
- Risk related to detention reduced
- Potential for local integration realized
- Public attitude towards PoCs improved
Intended Population of Concern
- All refugees from the Western Balkans currently in the country
- Asylum seekers and refugees from outside the western Balkans region
- Person in refugee like situation
Eligibility Criteria
- The interested NGOs registered in the country wishing to apply in reply to this Call for Expression of Interest are required to submit only a Concept Note.
- The Concept Note is primarily for the partner to express its unique advantage and added value for the Project objectives.
- The Concept Note is intended to allow the partner to:
- Articulate its objectives in undertaking the Project;
- Briefly describe the implementation approach for realizing the desired outcome of the Project;
- Demonstrate the unique advantage it brings to the partnership for realizing the desired outcome of the Project; and
- Demonstrate its complementariness to UNHCR’s capacities and resources for the Project.
