The Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation (CDI) invites applications for its short term course on Integrated Pest Management and Food Safety from 4 June 2018 until 22 June 2018 in the Netherlands.

Increased awareness of the adverse effects pesticides have on the environment and consumer concern about the safety of our food has led to the need for more sustainable agricultural production systems.

The course is aimed at creating mechanisms that will support Integrated Pest Management though looking at pesticides-related policies, the role of the various stakeholders and innovative (technical) solutions. Participants will enhance their ability to identify and solve problems in Integrated Pest Management and food safety. It entails a mix of lectures, discussions, group work, excursions and fieldwork. Meeting colleagues from other countries with similar interests leads to mutual learning.
