Applications are open for WORTH Initiative Innovation lab programme to build the capacity of environmental/ climate change civil society actors on the nexus between sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), climate change and innovation enabling them to create the best advocacy and programmatic solutions for the interlinked challenges faced at the grassroots, national, regional, and international levels.
The lab programme consists of two physical innovation labs and an online learning course spanning over a period of 5-6 months. The labs will contain a mix of presentations and participatory exercises that will equip the participants with the needed skill set and tools to innovate new solutions for the challenges that exist in the nexus between SRHR and climate change.
The lab programme will have a high emphasis on learning and knowledge sharing. They want to bring together creative minds to come up with the solutions to counter the great challenges resulting from the intersections between climate change and SRHR.
Benefits
- Participation in the labs is free of charge and the participants’ travel costs will be covered.
- In return, they expect participants to put in the necessary efforts before, during and between labs so that they can jointly come up with the best ideas.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicants must be advocacy or program officer in a civil society organization that works with climate change and/or environmental sustainability.
- For 2019, applications are accepted only from Myanmar, Bangladesh, Philippines and Pakistan.
Criteria
They are looking for participants that are creative and willing to think out of the box. At the same time, a successful applicant must have strong analytical skills, be a good communicator and be personally and professionally motivated to work with the nexus between SRHR and climate change/ environmental sustainability.
