Telstra Health is pleased to launch the 2021 Brilliant Connected Women in Digital Health Program, that recognises and celebrates the achievements of 25 women in digital health while raising awareness about the opportunities in the sector and inspiring others to follow their lead.
This award initiative supports the purpose of the network overall – to connect, share, inspire and celebrate.
This award initiative aims to recognise and celebrate 25 women in digital health for their incredible achievements, whether it’s for mentoring, medical research, contributing to technology development, improving health outcomes using digital health or introducing a new digital process for the delivery of health and aged care.
What opportunities are involved as a result of being part of the final 2021 Brilliant Women in Digital Health?
The final 25 will be recognised for their achievements in digital health and asked to share their story to inspire others and raise awareness of the opportunities in digital health. As well as being involved in the various launch events and associated activities, the finalists will be invited to participate in learning and development opportunities. They will be connected to a network of people within digital health and ideally become part of an alumni, following the inaugural year of the initiative. There will also be many ongoing opportunities as part of the Brilliant Connected Women in Digital Health network, in terms of events, publications, speaking occasions and overall profiling.
Who can nominate and how do I nominate?
- Nominations are open to both self-nominate and nominate another person. Please refer to the detailed terms and conditions at the bottom of this page for eligibility requirements.
- They are using the platform provided by Award Force. By clicking on the above link to nominate, you will be prompted to create an account, verify your email and then have access to the form. Once you’ve selected whether you are self-nominating or nominating another person, you will then simply need to complete the questions and then submit.
Eligibility Criteria
- In order to enter the 2021 Brilliant Women in Digital Health, you need to:
- Live in Australia and be an Australian citizen or resident;
- Be working or studying in the field of Digital Health, either within technology, healthcare, or a combination of the two
- You also won’t be able to enter if they have a financial interest in your business. Lastly, they encourage all people who identify as women to apply, regardless of your gender at birth.
Criteria
The final list of 25 women will be selected by the judges based on the following broad criteria:
- Recognising a broad range of sectors
- Diversity across the 25 individual nominees
- Recognising nominees’ technical expertise or expertise and contribution, with significant impact, in the health sector, aged care sector, or health and medical research sector.
