The Glen Eira City Council’s 2022 Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year Awards are now open to recognise the outstanding contributions of Glen Eira residents who, through hard work and dedication, have significantly contributed to the community.
Areas
The nominee must have also excelled in one or more of the following areas:
- aged services
- charity/humanitarian
- education
- public health
- arts/culture
- community services
- environment
- sports /recreation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizen of the Year Award — to be eligible, the nominee must be a resident of Glen Eira.
- Young Citizen of the Year Award — to be eligible, the nominee must be a resident of Glen Eira and be 25 years or younger on 31 December 2021.
Selection Criteria
Nominees are people who have demonstrated, through hard work and dedication, that they:
- have made a significant contribution to the Glen Eira community throughout 2021 and/or over previous years;
- have outstanding leadership skills and/or are a role model for other community members or organisations; and
- excel in one of the following areas: aged services; charity/humanitarian; education; public health; arts/culture; community services; environment; and sports/recreation.
Outstanding achievements and the demonstration of these key attributes are the basis of these awards.
