Deadline: 10-Dec-2025
The ACA Conservation, Community, and Education Grants aim to aid Alberta Conservation Association (ACA) in the delivery of its mission by funding projects that support conservation, community, and educational initiatives across Alberta.
The focus areas include conservation activities by individuals, organizations, and communities that contribute to healthy fish and wildlife populations, a healthy environment for fish and wildlife in Alberta, and the understanding, appreciation, and use of that environment. This grant program also funds projects which increase the level of attendance and awareness of outdoor opportunities, while developing knowledge and respect for conservation.
These grants are designed to enhance and supplement ACA activities through funding provided to partners who share its conservation goals. Applicants are encouraged to read the eligibility details carefully before submitting proposals. There are two types of application forms based on funding requests: a Small Grant Application Form for requests of $3,000 and under, and a Large Grant Application Form for requests exceeding $3,000.
Any legally-recognized organization or individual with appropriate liability insurance and Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) coverage can apply, provided they have a suitable project. However, ACA does not fund applications where a federal or provincial government employee or ministry serves as the principal applicant. While such employees may participate in the project, they cannot be responsible for its majority.
