Applications open for Community Sponsorship Program in Australia

Deadline: 25-Aug-2025

Camden Council is accepting applications for its Community Sponsorship Program, which aims to support community-based groups and organisations. The program offers financial or in-kind assistance to help supplement the funds that these groups raise for their own events or activities.

Eligible applicants include not-for-profit groups, organisations, or individuals planning an event, activity, or service within the Camden Local Government Area (LGA) that benefits the wider community. Events that promote community wellbeing, enhance residents’ lifestyles, or contribute to economic or tourism development in the Camden LGA are encouraged.

Successful applicants must sign a Sponsorship Agreement. This includes acknowledging the Council’s support with its logo, complying with all legal requirements for the event, allowing Council banner displays, and inviting a Council representative when appropriate. The sponsorship must be used as agreed and a written evaluation must be submitted within three months after the event.

Certain activities are ineligible for sponsorship, such as school fetes (unless they involve specific regulatory costs), political events, or events involving any actual or perceived conflict of interest. Events deemed a risk to the Council or applicants who have not met previous sponsorship conditions will also be excluded from funding.
