#image_title

Deadline: 14-Aug-2025

The Connellan Airways Trust is offering General Grants to help improve social and economic outcomes for people living in Outback Australia. These grants aim to support individuals and communities in remote and isolated areas.

Grants of up to $10,000 are typically available. The funding can be used for a range of purposes, such as workshops, courses, or programs that focus on education, health, and wellbeing. It can also support travel and accommodation expenses related to accessing education or healthcare. This includes costs for university placements, boarding school trips, distance education activities, school or youth camps, educational tours, and upskilling courses.

The grants can also cover expenses for facilitators delivering rural and remote programs. Additionally, they support skill-building initiatives, community events, clubs, and programs that enhance services and improve livability in outback areas.

Certain expenses are not eligible, including retrospective costs, general living expenses like rent or food, university fees, operational wages, fundraisers, and personal travel not tied to grant outcomes.

Individuals eligible for the grant must be Australian citizens residing in Outback Australia, including those living or working on stations or in small rural and remote towns. Residents of outer regional or remote centres who provide assistance are also eligible.

Organisations applying for the grant must be small to medium-sized entities, as defined by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and must be supporting people in Outback Australia.
