Apply now for Hibiscus and Bays Local Grant (New Zealand)

Small Grants Fund Program (Australia)

Deadline: 03-Oct-2025

The Auckland Council is now accepting applications for its Hibiscus and Bays Local Grant.

Grants ranging from $2,000 to $8,000 are available to not-for-profit groups and organisations whose initiatives fall within key categories such as arts, community, environment, events, heritage, and sports and recreation.

The funding aims to deliver positive outcomes across five important areas of focus: people, environment, community, places, and economy. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate how their projects will contribute to one or more of these priorities.

For the people, the vision is of a community that feels like a close-knit village, where residents enjoy strong connections and easy opportunities to participate. In terms of our environment, the board values projects that enhance native biodiversity, improve water quality, and support climate change mitigation and adaptation through education, advocacy, and restoration.

The community priority seeks to strengthen local identity and heritage by recognising the stories and names that shape the area, while also promoting recreation, culture, and the arts to build a vibrant and thriving place for everyone. Under our places and economy, the focus is on making town centres welcoming, accessible, and economically vibrant, while encouraging sustainable transport and local living.

Through this grants programme, the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board is committed to fostering strong, sustainable, and connected communities where people can live, work, and thrive.
