Deadline: 31-Oct-2025

The UNESCO Office in Accra invites not-for-profit organisations registered in Ghana to submit proposals under the Digital Access and Rural Empowerment (DARE) Programme – Intervention 3: Rural Young Mother Economic Empowerment.

The focus of the call includes digital technologies and revitalised Community Information Centres (CICs) to expand access to information, markets and essential services in rural areas; transforming the livelihoods of rural young mothers by equipping them with skills, resources and networks to build sustainable futures; empowering young mothers and communities by addressing stigma, building confidence and fostering supportive networks; delivering entrepreneurship, job placement and education-re-entry programmes complemented by mentorship and digital literacy; and establishing safe childcare spaces, training mothers to form cooperatives and promoting play-based learning for children under five.

This opportunity is available to organisations that are registered not-for-profit entities in Ghana and have operational presence in or near the districts of Bekwai, Gushegu or Somanya. Applicants must demonstrate the technical, financial and administrative capacity to implement community-based projects aimed at supporting at least 400 young mothers, including women with disabilities. Proposals must include a technical and financial submission, certificate of registration, partner identification form, and audited financial statements for the past two years.
